The History
Dirt oval track Super stock race car is a ’70 Camaro. This car last ran in 2008 as street stock. I took 5th place for the season, but a better driver could have brought this car in closer to the front. I hadn’t been in the top 5 for 2 1/2 years. My first 5 races I was in 4th place.
The Car
This is a leaf spring car. It has a Ford 9″ 6:30 rear end with gun drilled axles. I’m selling it as a roller with a 3 speed tranny. Included is a mini Disc racing clutch. I have both bead locks and regular wheels. Coils springs augment the mono leaf springs which have slider mounts vs. shackles.
- Rear engine support brackets
- tubular upper control arms
- round tube front and rear bumpers
- fiberglass “flexglas” side panels and nose piece
The Extras
There are additional body panels, some were original with the car when I bought it. There was a fiberglass hood, but I replaced it with aluminum.
The tethered hood pins are unique push pins with steel cable tethers.
The tires are old so they won’t be usable on the track. This car has been in the garage since 2008, so it’s been out of the weather and the sun.

And the asking price is $2500
